Cresco Labs granted approval to operate marijuana dispensary in Ohio

Cresco Labs one of the largest vertically integrated multistate cannabis operators in the United States, today announced that it has been granted the first approval to operate a marijuana dispensary in the state of Ohio. The new facility located in the village of Wintersville, named CY+ , will offer a wide selection of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis for physician-certified patients across Ohio.

County gives back to villages, townships - 2:09 pm updated:

Greene County News Greene County Commissioners Bob Glaser, Tom Koogler and Alan Anderson present checks to village and township officials Dec. 4 as part of a new Department of Development grant program. The board voted in October to create a grant fund through the Greene County Department of Development and disperse $500,000 to the county's cities, villages, and townships.

Women of Influence class has county residents -

Beavercreek resident Cassie Barlow, chief operating officer of Southwestern Ohio Council on Higher Education and former base commander at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Yellow Springs residents Neenah Ellis, general manager of WYSO, and Kim Duncan, community philanthropist and former CEO and co-founder of Elements IV Interiors are among the six inductees. Also among the Women of Influence are Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz, senior rabbi at Temple Israel; Chris Saunders, community philanthropist and international advocate; and Sheri "Sparkle" Williams, a dancer with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.

The makers of the successful HBO documentary "The Last Truck" have worked for several years on a new film about Fuyao Glass America - the company that revitalized the General Motors plant whose final days "The Last Truck" painstakingly explored. "American Factory" by directors Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert will follow "a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant, hiring two thousand blue-collar Americans.
